2496 (Cumbernauld) Squadron at RIAT 15   Tuesday, August 04, 2015

A group of 12 Air Cadets from 2496 Cumbernauld Sqn were requested to attend the Royal International Air Tattoo at Royal Air Force Fairford, Gloucestershire on Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19th July 2015 to assist the charity organisation “Flying Scholarships for Disabled People”.

498 (Wishaw) Cadets Conquer Nijmegen   Sunday, August 02, 2015

100 Miles, 4 Days! Each year in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, 46,000 people descend on the town to complete the ’Vierdaagse International 4 day March’. This year, it was held from 22nd July through to the 25th July for the 99th time. Air Cadets from across the West Scotland Wing travelled across to Nijmegen in a bid to complete the gruelling 100 mile challenge and come home with the official Nijmegen completion medal.

At 12.30pm, on Sunday the 3rd of May, the new West Scotland Wing Air Cadet Activity centre was formally opened next to the existing Cadet Centre on Gilbertfield Road in Cambuslang.
