2414 (East Kilbride) Dining In Night
2414 (East
Kilbride) Squadron held their annual
Dining In Night at the East Kilbride Rugby Club on Saturday the
21st of January 2012.

Staff, cadets and invited guests enjoyed a three course meal of
lentil and vegetable soup, steak pie and sticky toffee
pudding.
Commanding Officer, Flt Lt Dougie
MacMillan then delivered a well prepared speech on the achievements
of the past year, despite efforts by some of the crowd to heckle
him!
2414 have had an amazing year,
most notably winning the Wing Drill, Tyro and Banner drill
competitions. Their banner drill team then went on to win the
Regional competition and represented Scotland
and Northern Ireland at the Corps
Competition. They also did extremely well in sports representation
for cross country, football and netball. In marksmanship, they won
a wing competition and came second at Region and also performed
well at Bisley with Cpl Kyle Wilson going on to represent the ATC
at the Tri-service shoot. For the
second year running, they have also been selected to represent the
Wing in the Lees trophy for the most efficient squadron in the
Corps.
2414 will undergo many changes this
year as they move from Rolls-Royce into the TA centre, Flt Lt
MacMillan said, "It's you, the cadets that make the squadron what
it is not the location. So, let's keep up the good
work." Flt Lt MacMillan then went
